Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges

Refund for Unused Equipment or Misplaced Orders
  • Please contact the Opus Inspection Help Desk at 866-623-8378 to request a refund for any unused equipment or any misplaced orders.
  • If your refund has been accepted by Opus Inspection, mail your returned equipment to the mailing address above.
    • Please note, stations are responsible for all shipping and handling fees required to send the equipment back to Opus Inspection.
    • All items are subject to a 15% restocking fee; this will be deducted from your station’s refund.
  • Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return and the original receipt.

Exchanges for Warrantied Parts

  • All equipment that is sent to a station to replace any existing equipment under warranty will have a return label inside the box that the new component(s) arrive in. Stations are responsible for sending the defective equipment back to Opus Inspection with the return label provided within seven business days of receiving the replacement.
    • If a station does not return the defective equipment within the seven-business day timeframe, they will be invoiced for the cost of the equipment and a $34 non-returned fee
    • If a station returns the defective equipment and Opus Inspection determines the part to have been broken by physical abuse from the station, they will be invoiced for the cost of the equipment and a $68 dollar repair fee.

Payment Policy

Accepted Methods of Payment
  • Credit Card (American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa)
    • We do not store credit card information.
  • Check/Money Order
  • Purchase Order (for previously identified stations only)
Credit Card Charges
  • Your credit card will be charged when you place your order. If we are not able to fulfill your order for any reason, your credit card will be refunded.

Shipping Policy

Turnaround Time
  • New CVIS units are shipped within 21 days: Monday – Friday between 8am-5pm from the time Opus Inspection receives approval for the station from DMV.
  • Newly purchased parts, Sticker Stock Shipments, and Warrantied Parts are shipped within 1-2 days of your order being received: Monday – Friday between 8am-5pm.
Carriers
  • We use the following carriers to deliver our orders:
    • UPS
    • FedEx
Order Tracking
  • If a tracking number is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the necessary tracking information.
Back Orders
  • If an item is on back order, we will ship you the part of your that is in stock. When the back-order item becomes available again, we will ship you the rest of the order.

Privacy Policy

This policy covers how we use your personal information. We take your privacy very seriously and will take all measures to protect your personal data.

What Information Do We Collect?
  • We only collect information that is needed for your order. This includes your:
    • Billing Address
    • Credit Card Information
    • Email Address
    • Shipping Address
  • In addition, we also collect information about your IP address, browser type, and refer URL data. We use this data to prevent hacking attempts, help us know what web browsers people are using, and find out where our visitors are coming from so we can improve our marketing.
How is My Information Used?
  • Your information is only used to fill your order. We do not sell or redistribute your information to anyone.

  • We only store information on our server relating to your order:

  • This information is encrypted before it is transmitted over a web server.
