*If you are a Group 1A station and currently do not use a NYVIP2 CVIS, please call
Opus to discuss your NYVIP3 equipment options
*Stations that are licensed to perform OBDII and or Diesel Opacity (DL) inspections are
excluded from purchasing the Level 0 Web Application package.

Due to equipment shortages and supply chain issues, a revised implementation timeline for NYVIP3 has
been requested by Opus and approved by DMV. Facilities may choose to order NYVIP3 equipment now
(preferred) or return to this site at a later date to complete their equipment order. Opus will prioritize order
from diesel emissions (opacity) stations and stations not currently conducting inspections on the NYVIP
network. Opus expects to begin fulfilling these orders in July 2022. diesel emissions (opacity)stations and
stations not currently conducting electronic inspections are expected to order and secure NYVIP3
equipment by November 1,2022. Please plan accordingly. All other stations currently conducting
inspections with a CVIS unit are expected to begin receiving their orders in Q2 2023. For these inspection
stations facing a delayed shipment, placing an order, and submitting a completed NYVIP3 Station
Participation Agreement to Opus by November 1, 2022, will ensure compliance and uninterrupted service
with current equipment.
